opticalCON POWER-QUAD

Neutrik is proud to announce that only one year after its introduction, the opticalCON QUAD has become the chosen standard for fiber optic transmission for a number of broadcast companies in Europe, US and the Far East. Particularly, OB companies (outdoor broadcast) are attracted by Neutrik's optimized solutions for multichannel point-to-point fiber connectivity.
The opticalCON POWER-QUAD cable line solves an additional request from this industry.  ENG/SNG1 applications especially require the combination of multi-fiber and power in one cable in order to guarantee quick setup and simple handling.
Neutrik has created a cable specifically for these requirements which is optimized in ruggedness, flexibility, weight and cost.
The copper wires of the hybrid cable design perfectly protect the fibers from damage and an outer shield provides best possible safety.

 

Cables are available as 4-channel or 8-channel assemblies.  The breakout is based on the proven TRIPLE-SPLIT design. It is available in single or multimode and is rated for up to 240V AC. The powerCON used on the breakout guarantees a rugged and safe power connection.

opticalCON Breakout Solution upgrades

Especially with broadcast customers, we often have to deal with existing fiber installations and cable standards. Customers might hesitate in exchanging installations (e.g. ST) with opticalCON since compatibility to current interconnections needs to remain possible.
Neutrik now offers a straight-forward solution for this situation, adding a variety of additional breakout solutions.

opticalCON powerMONITOR upgrades

An additional feature is going to be added within the next weeks. A software upgrade will offer a WDM2 mode which allows monitoring of the full WDM, CWDM or DWDM bandwidth spectrum.

With 90/10 splitters we have finally been successful:  the split loss is still reasonable with only 1dB. We are happy to finally inform you that the multimode powerMONITOR is available.
